Tic Tac Toe Hero Arts Watercolor Card Challenge!

Hero Arts has a three in a row Tic Tac Toe June card layout challenge.  I selected to design a card that used circles, background stamp and watercolors.  I used a Hero Arts script background stamp and watercolored the paper with Ranger distress inks.  The I added the dot flowers and watercolored the circles to .  A tied silver cording added the final touch.  Love the way the blues and greens blended together.

Red, White and Blue Stars and Circles!

This patriotic card to celebrate July 4th uses punches to create the layered stars emblems.  A coordinating patterned background  paper completes the layout.  This layout pattern could be used with other colors  and repurposed for any occasion.

Sail Away! Mini Embossed Sailboat!

Stamp Camp for Stampin’ Up is now on summer vacation.  It was another great year with many new projects and techniques. I have been attending the same camp for about 15 years and also discovered another camp locally. I wanted to send a thank you to the two wonderful Stampin’ Up demonstrators.  I picked up this cute stamp set at a yard sale at Jan’s.  The mini sailboat and word banner were perfect. And of course I already had  coordinating paper.

Under the Sea Starfish Shaker Card!

This starfish die cut from Impression Obsession was the perfect image to use inside of a shaker card.  I inked the white die cut paper with Ranger light brown dye ink and stamped the background with a under the sea image from Stampin Up.  I die cut a window and used fun foam for a backing.  Sequins and some colorful beads complete the frame.  A mini Happy Summer die cut banner finish the under the sea card.  Love it!

Nautical Stars and Banners!

Here is one of my samples for my August class at Scrapbook Cove.  The theme is By The Sea and I used the patterned paper and die cut from the store. I created three cards with nautical die cuts, banner die cuts by My Favorite Things.   I also created a dimensional star garland

and a nautical map covered picture frame for the same class.  I love the way everything came out.

Anchors Away!

I combined a happy summer card and a celebrate the Fourth of July card.  I found some beautiful printed card stock paper, nautical die cuts and printed button mini-banners at Scrapbook Cove in Stonington, CT.  I had the My Favorite Things little girl stamp and I added a patterned dress and her favorite dog.  I printed out the Ahoy!  sign and made a flag for her.  Natural colored twine was tied around the top of the card. A tiny star completed the look!  Ahoy Matey!  Time to post the picture on Color Throw Down webpage!  CTD 348  #ctd348 #colorthrowdown

Smile! A Happy Father’s Day Card!

I bought this great patterned paper from Bella Arts in Johnston, Rhode Island I knew that a clever Father’s Day card could be created with the cameras.  I die cut 11 random cameras to create a pattern and then add coordinating circles in 4 different colors.  I added the smile for the last one with a tiny star.  Glossy accents and glitter glue finished the look.  Love the camera  paper!

More Watercolored Flowers!

I have been inspired to return to watercoloring images for my cards after attending the Stamp Show at the Big E in Springfield, MA last weekend. The show was great and there were many projects with watercoloring with inks and markers.  One card was with a new stamp and that I bought last year.  I love the soft look for these special BDay cards for June birthdays.

Pink Watercolored Flowers

Here is one of my newest stamps #rubberneckerstamps from my annual trip to the BIG E stamp show.  We got there when the doors opened  and we were there all day.  Silver embossed flowers painted with Tombow markers diluted with water to paint the flowers.  An accent paper doily, patterned paper and a bow.  Tomorrow the card goes in the mail.  Image 2
