What would card making and paper projects be like without Washi tape? Washi tape is a card makers and crafters friend. Altenew has a wonderful collection of Washi tapes to select from- narrow, wide, geometric patterns, printed patterns, glittery. So many options. Adding a Washi tape accent provides an accent point to a card or paper project. I have covered a small wooden picture frame, used tape to create a mini-mixed media booklet and added to a small gift box. The possibilities are endless. I hope you are inspired by the cards and projects I have posted along with the posts and creations from my Altenew Educator’s colleagues. Be inspired and have fun!
Altenew is giving away a $25.00 gift certificate to four lucky winners! For a chance to win, please follow @https://altenew.com/ and the rest of the posts and leave a comment by 11/23/2021.

Ideas to Use Washi Tape in Your Creative Projects
I created a box for one of the AECP lessons. The box is a simple white box that needed some dressing up. I stamped the checkered paper using the same stamp I used on the card. I added a strip of Altenew Gold String washi tape to the edges and wrapped it around the side of the box. I added some gold cording and a stamped sentiment tag. The upgraded box is now ready to add the finished cards.
Adding the same Altenew String Washi tape to the bottom of the card coordinates the gold themed elements. The leaf canopy stamp was stamped on water color paper, gold embossing powder, painted and a curved scalloped die cut edge. Some paint splatters, a small word tag and gold thread accents coordinates all of the card elements to the card. I have used this stamp and die set for many different cards. One of my go to Altenew card making supplies.
For this card, I added Altenew Silver glitter washi tape for each of the rounded corner Altenew rectangle dies. I inked each piece using Altenew pink ink cubes. Then I stamped an inked word in each layered section and then added a strip of silver glitter Washi tape. The four layered pieces were adhered to a white A2 card base. The silver glitter tape adds a visual accent to the card.
Sometimes all you need is an accent to make the card elements come together. For this card, I stamped the Altenew poppy stamp several times to created a textured image. The hello Altenew die was cut from gold paper and layered to add visual and textural accent. Altenew wide String Washi tape was added to the left corner that coordinated all of the gold elements in the card.
