Painted Flowers!
I tried a different card sketch lay out for this card. It worked for the Viva La Verve February card sketch. I like adding a visual interest focal point and this time is was the paper doily. The painted flowers were from Art Gone Wild designed by Catherine Scanlon. I love her bold flowers and have several of her stamps. Always nice to have a card ready for any occasion. I stenciled the background using Distress Oxide ink.
Sending Valentine Hugs!
I love making cards and paper projects for Valentine’s Day! I already had my cards ready to mail, but I kept finding new ideas to try. I was inspired to try this card layout after watching a video featuring this technique. Here is my try at using some new Distress Oxide inks in three colors and some stamped swirls. I might even add some sparkles yet. Then I found the weekly card sketch challenge from My Favorite Things #MFTWSC370. I die cut the heart, placed the inked piece behind it and then added the die cut word and word banner.
