TEXT SAVVY THEMED CARDS

The theme for the September 2021 Instagram Hop for the Altenew Educators Certfied Participants group is Text Savvy. I created seven cards using a combination of dies and words from the Altenew supplies I had. Each card demonstrates a different technique that showcases the Text Savvy theme.

Inked and Stamped Word Banners Card

For this card I used Altenew shades of pink ink cubes to create the colored paper. The sentiments were from a Altenw stamp set . I die cut the banners from My Favorite Things, this set created the folded tag effect.

Yellow Inked Stripes

This card has inked stripes and I used Altenew yellow ink cubes to create the shaded stripes and then cut them into stripes.

Painted Green Stripes

Pink, Purple and Silver Washi Tape

One more inked stripes this time I used ink to water color the stripes

Yellow Painted Background

I created this painted background using Altenew ink cubes in shades of yellow using a large round brush and lots of water. I added ink splatters in a darker shade from the ink cube set.

Hello and Pink Painted Brush Strokes

For this card layout, I used a horizontal card fold for the A2 card base. I painted the brush strokes using Altenew pink nk cubes on water color paper and added ink splatters for accents.

Hello Die and Stenciled Accents

This is another A2 top score card with green ink stenciled accents using an Altenew stencil. I used the gradient Altenew dot stencil for the word tag. The die cut Hello is from Altenew and die cut using black glossy paper.

Purple Hello and Inked Background

For this card I used Altenew purple ink cubes to create a gradient of shades of purple and water splatters for accents. I die cut the inked piece using the rounded rectangle from Aletnew and three die cuts from the same set for a layered rectange feature. I die cut the hello from the painted panel and layered several other pieces for added dimension. I stamped the sentiment in the corner of the hello piece and layered all of the pieces together,
