Welcome and Hi Friends! Altenew’s Certified Educators are joining a fun Instagram Reel Hop-“Pretty Peonies”. The Hop starts at @altenew . Today’s theme is showcasing a beautiful Peony flower outline stamp and coordinating dies and stencils. This is a beautiful flower and the Altenew set I am showcasing is the Gracious Peonies stamp, a background stencil and flower die. Here is the card I created for the Instagram Reel Hop.

The completed card is an A7 sized card. The flower stamp is larger and needed a larger card base and uses a regular postage stamp for mailing.

I stamped the large double flower on lightweight watercolor paper using jet black ink. I stamped the image again that will showcase the large flower. The flowers were painted and shaded using Altenew crisp dye inks- Pinkalicous, Rubellite for the petals, Forest Glades for the leaves and Jet Black for the outline of the flowers and leaves.

The coordinating die set was used for the large flower and leaves. Then I fussy cut the large flower and extra leaves.

The background was stenciled using the Altenew Fine Tulle 6 x 8 Background stencil using using Frayed Leaf ink and Altenew blending brushes. The hello tag was from another Altenew stamp set using Jet Black ink.

Altenew spool of gold thread were bundled and added for accents behind the flowers and word tag. For added dimension I added thin foam dots behind the large die cut flower and a few more for the single fussy cut flower. Next- time to admire the beautiful card!
