Today I Choose Happiness Altered Mini-journal!

The Monday weekly challenge for #SimonSaysStamp blog http://www.simonsaysstampblog.com is any craft that begins with an “A”.   I created an altered mini-journal for my “A” challenge submission.  The background paper was created with blended  distress ink #rangerinks. and stencils  #rangerstencils.   I added a vintage black and white photo that I colored with distress inks, textured rick rack ribbon and embossed two corners with textured embossing powder. A small piece of dictionary page, a word banner and a glossy accent tiny heart complete the altered cover.  Time to start writing!

Happy Bluebird!

Here is my creation for the Wednesday Splitcoaststampers  challenge.  I used an Impression Obsession  bird stamp, inked and shaded with stencils.  I added a book page wing and a tiny heart.  Tiny strips of brown paper created the nest.  The graph paper was printed from http://www.printablepaper.net.  Inked stencils and embossed paper added accent and textures.  Ready to send to someone special!  #impressionobsession  #splitcoaststampers #rangerink

Red Gingham and Yellow Daisies!

Lawn Fawn stamps and die cuts work so well together. I used patterned paper for the flowers, leaves and accent paper for the front of the card.  I used three different die cut circles for the background and added a  word banner.  The last touch was a small glossy accent heart.  A simple card sketch layout that can be used for many different cards.

You Go Girl BDay! card

I created a card for the Wednesday challenge at splitcoaststampers.com.  I used the bicycle die cut from Die-versions, made a template for the sloping hill and layered green patterned papers.  I added stenciled accents to the grass and blue background papers. I stamped and printed out word banners. The final touch was sparkly gems for the wheels.  Great inspirational card and ready for a special friend.

Pretty Papers decorated box!

This was my design challenge for a Scrapbook Cove class to use Ranger Distress paints to create a decorated box  After many different ideas, here is my final project.  I created a die cut flower in shades of blue, silver and a scalloped edge  and leaves using the new pistachio color from Ranger.  I only had a few colors to play with.  I covered the box  and cover with patterned paper and added ribbon.  Looking good!

Playful Poppies!

This is a new die cut I just got from Penny Black.  I used water color paper to die cut the flowers and then painted them with Ranger Ink dye inks in shades of red and green.  I then applied glossy accents to the flowers and stems and the extra buds. This was a card sketch for splitcoaststampers.com this week.  I added a word banner as the final touch.

Easter Greetings!

This year I created a non-traditional Easter card.  I used an embossed Penny Black stamp, stencils, Copic markers, blended ink background and a mini word tag to create the image.  The background paper is from printable paper.net.  This web page has many different types of printable papers.  I love the final look. Ready for the mail soon!
