A QUICK RECAP OF THE VIRTUAL CLASS
After many hours of planning, researching ideas, creating prototypes and searching for just the right Altenew pattern papers I was ready to complete the required proposal and the related paper work to submit to Altenew for approval. I wanted to do something different, hence new ideas to use patterned paper that sometimes sits on a shelf at home.
My proposal focused on creating a template/grid to divide a 12″ x 12″ double sided Altenew printed paper to then use to cut the paper into sections that would create ten A2 cards. I created another grid for a 6″ x 6″ Altenew paper that would be used to create four A2 cards. So in total, fourteen cards would be created using a single 12″ x 12″ patterned paper and a 6′ x 6″ double sided patterned paper.
Paper crafters logged onto the Zoom platform and followed along as I shared my card samples, shared the pattern grid and then to cut the paper into sections for both of the papers.
It was a fun evening and everyone enjoyed the virtual class techniques of new ways to use the 12″ x 12″ scrapbook paper and for the 6″ x 6″ double sided paper for completing 14 A2 cards.
Here are the card samples that I created for the class. It was lots of fun sharing ideas, techniques and supplies and meeting fellow card makers.
- 12” x 12” Altenew EnjoyThe Ride: Blustery paper from the Enjoy the Ride paper pack
- 6”x 6” Altenew Summer Garden paper packet
- Altenew Shades of Purple mini ink cubes for ink blending
- Altenew stamped sentiments from Smiles and Hugs
- Altenew stamped sentiments from a variety of sets
- White card stock for the card base and strips for inking
- Envelopes for the cut pieces
This was an awesome class! I had never seen the grid for using up a 12×12 sheet or 6×6 sheet of pattern paper without creating scraps. So cool and so much fun! Thank you Nancy and Bryn!
Thanks so much!!!!! Glad you had fun and learned some new card layouts. Share your new card creations. I would love to see them. Thanks for joining me.
