MARCH 2023 COLOR CHALLENGE- A MIX OF GREEN AND STONE COLORS

The March 2023 is all about the green and stone colors inspired by the photo included in the new Altenew Inspiration Challenge. Here are the cards that I created using the color combination for the Challenge.

I created four cards using an easy card technique using one sheet of 8 1/2″ x 11″ white card stock. I used the Altenew Linear Stencil and several Altenew mini ink cubes in shades of green and a beige distress ink pad. I centered the stencil to the middle of the paper and began inking using the darkest green ink cube using a foam blending pad. Next I added the lighter ink color and working to the edge of the stencil I used the light brown ink. I then moved the stencil to a corner and repeated the same inking color combo. Then I repeated the same for the remaining three corners. Last I cut the stenciled paper into four sections, highlighting the middle inked stencil and then a corner. Using extra inked paper I cut two banners and stamped the sentiments from the Altenew Paint A Flower: Waterlily Dahlia Outline Stamp set- thanks for everything and take care always.

I trimmed and die cut each of the four sections for two A2 cards. I edged the card front with Altenew’s narrow gold foil washi tape to create the look of shiny gold paper backgound. Extra paper pieces were used to create the two die cut banners and the stamped sentiment. Change the colors for the inking and you have a totally different look.
