Every year I like to create a variety of different Christmas/holiday cards. I take this annual creating event to use the many Christmas stamps, die cuts and supplies that I have. I found this beautiful forest of pine trees from Impression Obsession die cut which I painted with distress inks and accented with embossing paste. I also used a stamp from Impression Obsession for the trio of pine trees. I used Copic markers for coloring. I love the simple layout. I accented the flowerpots with glossy accents. And my final card had lots of steps and many die cuts. I love the simple color combination and variety of die cuts I used. I found new glitter glue from Sparkle and Shine which I just love!!! Maybe these will inspire your creations as well. Merry Christmas!

2017 Mini Calendars!
Here is another sample of one of my annual calendar projects. I have made several different variations on this mini calendar. I had help finding these new mini calendar pads from Taylored Expressions. I customize the paper selections for pet owners and florals. Simple to create and welcomed by all I send them to. Maybe this will become an annual project for you, too.
Celebrating 2017!
I like to make calendars for the new year and look for new ideas to refresh ringing in the new year. This year it was creating a perpetual calendar using a berry basket and index cards. Cutting index cards for each day of the year and adding date stickers to each card took a bit of planning and creating. I created divider cards for each month and added a tag for each month. I added a bit of color to the white basket with some distress ink and added a box accent. Now as information, dates and special events are added to each card, you have a record of what happened throughout each month and for the year. As a month is over, you can move the group to the back of the basket. I love the way it came out and a new challenge completed. Ring in the New Year!

Bags, Tags and Boxes!
Now that my October class is complete at Scrapbook Cove, my mission was to finish the class samples for my November class that is a repeat with new projects for the Bags, Tags and Boxes class. Roni had beautiful holiday paper that she requested that I use for my paper projects so my research began. I did a repeat of the mini-gift shopping bag, a repeat of the bag in a box and a mini-triangle treat box and a pyramid box that was larger. I added a tag from a die cut for the large pyramid box, a small tag for the shopping bag and a cheers sentiment for the mini treat box. I created an ornament from small circles from coordinating paper for the mini-shopping bag. The colorful holiday paper is the star- and of course my paper creations. Hope you like them as much as I do.

Happy Haunting!
Here is my Halloween card for the Always Playing With Paper #80 card sketch this week. The sparkly pumpkin and the stylish fringe complete the simple but playful layout. All set for early mailing on Monday!

Build A Snowman!

I love creating cards with snowmen and I have a huge collection of snow people! This stamp is one of my favorites! I added mini pom poms for the snowballs and of course lots of glitter for the sparkle for #alwaysplayingwithpaper The Challenge#79 Christmas Inspiration Challenge. This card makes me smile no matter what season it is.
Sing Sing Out Loud!
I created this mixed media canvas board as I have been dabbling in the world of mixed media. I used a stamp from Impression Obsession to create the bird and then added a separate wing. The music accent paper is from the Tim Holtz speciality tissue paper. I added a paper nest and a few other mixed media accents. I liked it so much I created a few more! This is my submission for the weekly challenge for #simonsaysstamp.

2017 Berry Basket Calendar
I can’t believe I am already working on a few 2017 calendar projects. I was inspired by a post on Pinterest to create a perpetual calendar using a berry basket for the monthly index card pages. I created monthly divider pages with colorful printed paper and then added a scalloped circle punch for the months. Each index card has a date sticker. I will be teaching a class in October at Scrapbook Cove. love the way the project came out. Instead of strawberries, think calendar box.

Butterfly Wishes!
I had a few birthday and anniversary cards to work today and this color combination was inspired by the #alwaysplayingwithpaper weekly color challenge #77 to use teal, coral and yellow. I painted some watercolor paper in the three colors. Then I die cut butterflies using a Sizzix die. I used a card sketch I have used before and like the simple layout using layered paper and shapes. I added some glittery accents to the butterflies and a tiny circle sentiment to the bottom. My anniversary card is complete!

Berry Basket Calendar
I create several different types of calendars for the New Year to give to family members and friends. This year I was inspired by a Pinterest posting of using a paper berry basket to create a perpetual calendar. So the thinking began! First I had to find the right size index cards to cut in half to fit inside the basket. Then how to add a date for each card for each month. That would be a lot of date stamp stamping. My computer savvy husband printed out a tiny date label for each card-365! or 366 days! I found some bright printed paper for the dividers and then attached them to a piece of heavier card stock. I then printed out a tag for each month, punched them out and added a scallop circle to each divider. I supported the bottom of the basket with several heavy pieces of matt board and tucked them inside before I added index cards and dividers. I sponged on some distress ink in a light green to the white basket and added a white ribbon. I will be teaching this class as a project at Scrapbook Cove in October. Should be a fun class. I love the way it came out. The thinking and planning was the hardest part!
